REHABILITATION PROGRAMS

Rehabilitation Programs

The Centre holds only group intakes of children as opposed to admitting one child at a time. These admissions take in a minimum of 25 children and a maximum of 35 at a time.

The following key requirements are followed as a guideline for admission :

  • 90% of the total intake must comprise of street children, while 10% is made up of orphans and destitute children.
  • Only children who are between the ages of 6 and 8 are admitted, regardless of their ethnicity or religion
  • Each of the children has to introduce a parent, relative, or guardian to the centre before admission. This helps during reintegration and cases of emergency
  • A thorough medical test has to be conducted on each child before admission, ensuring the sick are put on immediate treatment Center Administration

The Centre is run by a Board (NPCC Board) approved by the CITAM Deacon Board . The Centre Management Team is composed of the Centre Manager, Education Co-ordinator, Nurse/Matron, and a Social Worker. The Centre manager reports to the NPCCC Board.
