Mr. J.M. Otundo was appointed Headteacher from 1st January 2009 from the then Headteacher Mrs. Janerose Situma who is now at Kisumu Pentecostal Church Academy. He is in charge of both Primary and kindergarten. He is trained P1 teacher, has a Diploma in Special Needs Education from Kenya Institute of special Education [K.I.S.E]. He holds B/Ed degree from Nkumba University in Uganda and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Studies & Administration – (Nkumba University in Uganda). He has a lot of passion for teaching science. Mr. Otundo has a vast experience as a teacher in both public and private institutions including:
- MMshah Primary – Kisumu
- St Andrews school
- Jack & Jill Schools – Kitale
- Covenant International Group of Schools.
- H.H Aga khan Schools
He has demonstrated six years [6] of proven leadership as a headteacher and attained twenty one [21] merit certificates/trophies provincially and nationally for excellent performance.
He has served as a secretary to Kenya Private School’s Association while serving as a Headteacher in Kisumu Municipality.
Mr. Otundo’s anticipation/objective is to raise NPCA Buruburu-Primary to greater heights and leave it a better place than he found it as per the quote “I met this school made of mud and have left it made up of marble”, Augusta Ceaser. He is married to one wife and has two children. His hobbies are Reading, Travelling, Watching Soccer and having an encounter with pupils
