Bishop’s Profile – Rev. David Oginde

Rev. David Oginde is the Bishop of Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM). He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Nairobi and a Masters Degree in Leadership from the Pan Africa Christian University. He has also received theological training specializing in Biblical Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago, USA. He is currently pursuing a PhD degree in Organizational Leadership from Regent University in Virginia, USA. Prior to joining CITAM, Rev. Oginde worked for the Fellowship of Christian Unions (FOCUS) initially as Bible Study Secretary and later on as the General Secretary.  Before being appointed the position of Bishop, Rev. Oginde had served in various capacities in CITAM over the years including Minister for Administration, Senior Pastor of NPC Karen, Senior Pastor of NPC Valley Road and Deputy Bishop. He is married to Nancy Oginde and they have two children, Joyce and Chris.

Rev. Oginde is a gifted expositor of the Bible. He has authored two books, Call Me Marah – a Biblical exposition of the Book of Ruth and Possessing Your Possession – a thematic study on the Book of Joshua. He has also co-authored with Dr. Ken Birch, A Practical Resource for Resolution and Reconciliation. Moreover, he has contributed to the Africa Bible Commentary – a one volume contextual commentary of the whole Bible written by 70 African Bible Scholars.

Rev. Oginde’s vision and passion for CITAM is that the ministry would raise true Christians who are able to stand firm in their faith despite the difficult circumstances they face. Equipping every believer so that they are living out their faith on a daily basis is one of the most important challenges for the church today.
