OUR CURRENT MISSIONS
Samburu missionThe Samburu mission has greatly grown with seven indigenous churches opened by the Maralal Pentecostal church a CITAM mission initiative. In April 2008, Bishop Bonifes Adoyo of CITAM went to Maralal to dedicate the MPC new sanctuary. The beautiful sanctuary was built by partnership of CITAM with the locals. This year (2009) CITAM sent a full time missionary (Peter) to help in leadership development among the Samburu churches. Rendille MissionThe Rendille mission is headed by Missionary John.The mission center is at Kargi about 80 kilometers from Marsabit town. The Johns First went to Korr where they were hosted by AIM mission to learn the culture and the language of the Rendille people. At the begining of June 2008, they relocated and started building the mission center facilities: house and church halls at Kargi. Currently a church of over one hundred and fifty adults gather at the mission center every Sunday. Borana missionAlfred and his wife are our couple leading the Borana mission center. The mission center covers areas like Gororukesa and Sagante. They have started fellowships to reach the Borana and they are making great progress. The Church at Gororukesa has neary two hundred Boranas attending every Sunday. The School of Ministry-SamburuThis is a program to train local church leaders; pastors Evangelists etc to equip them to do the work of God effectively. It is designed for those who have not undergone formal ministry training. Every month the leaders meet for a week where they are trained on doctrines of the bible and general ministry knowledge. So far the program has reached out to more than 25 local church leaders Heaven's Gates Hell's FlamesThis is an evangelistic drama which CITAM has used effectively to reach out in urban areas loke nairobi and other centers. The Drama has recieved a wide accepted and great resonse. Among the notacle presentations were in Kisumu Pentecostal Church, NPC Valley road and Maralal ( MPC) |
