We thank God for the successful 21 days’ of fasting and prayer culminating in a Solemn Assembly on 1st February 2020 at CITAM Valley Road. Thousands of CITAM congregants braved the cold rainy morning and assembled as early as 6 am for prayers. Several pastors and church leaders led the attendants to pray for key issues affecting personal lives, the Church and the nation.
Speaking during the meeting, CITAM’s Presiding Bishop, Rev, Dr. David Oginde said that we needed the refreshing of our land, because if our country prospers, then we shall also prosper. “Kenya is a place of our inheritance and we should pray for it to be refreshed,” the Bishop said. He referred to prophet Joel who after lamenting about the state, he began to reassure God’s people. Prophet Joel called the people to return to God through a solemn assembly. The Bishop urged the congregants to allow their lives to be led by the Holy Spirit and focus wholly on God and not on worldly things.
